Many many many many moons ago there came an angler who became a small stream sniper with dry dropper rigs. Pablo (AKA Paul Brockbank) was working with me one day and he mentioned a cool deer hair technique to make legs. It really got the creative juices going, so this fly that was the product of such a conversation, will be forever named Pablo’s Sally. This is a really fun technique to use on larger flies as well, so feel free to mix and match colors and sizes. For yellow sallies, I prefer to fish a 12-16 depending on the river I’m fishing. Have fun with this one! I did.
