Double Olympic Champ ALISTAIR BROWNLEE RETIRES From Triathlon

The end of a legendary career in triathlon.

Alistair Brownlee raced over 100 races across short, middle and long distance triathlon. He won back-to-back Olympic gold medals in 2012 and 2016, the first and only athlete to do so, as well as four World Championships, four European Championships and a Commonwealth gold.

In his final race, Ali landed his first ever podium at the Dubai T100 World Championship Final, securing him 5th place in the overall standings after a season of highs and lows. Following the race, he spoke exclusively to T100 about his plans to retire, gave us a look back on his achievements in the sport and a glimpse of what may be coming next.

He bows out as one of the greatest to have ever done the sport. Thank you for the memories, Ali!
