Stillwater fly fishing presents a lot of challenges that are different from fishing a river. When arriving at a new lake for the first time, it’s easy to wonder where should you fish? What flies should I use? What line should I fish and what retrieve would be best? In this video, I try to provide some answers to those questions as I fish a lake I have never been to before. I take you through the rigs I fish and provide some reasons to fish various flies and rigs based on the conditions I observe.
