Magene T500 Smart Trainer Review // With QZ Virtual Shifting!

Magene T500 Smart Trainer Review // With QZ Virtual Shifting!

In this video, I take a deep dive into the Magene T500 Smart Trainer – a direct drive, magnet-based unit with a ‘virtual flywheel’, offering solid power accuracy (±1%) and a quiet ride. I cover its strengths, like pre-assembly, stable SIM/ERG performance, and good baseline accuracy against Assioma PRO and DUO pedals, but also highlight its limitations – Those being no WiFi, Race Mode, or official Virtual Shifting. I demonstrate how to work around the common "flywheel slip" issue using three methods – including an unofficial Virtual Shifting hack via the QZ app, which also opens up Zwift Ride frame support!
