Join Lisa Bentley at the Canadian Kona Breakfast

Canadian women qualifiers for the 2025 Ironman World Championship are invited to join Lisa Bentley for a special celebration in Kona. An 11-time Ironman champion and author of An Unlikely Champion, Bentley has devoted more than 20 years to triathlon, competing in 33 Ironman races and inspiring athletes worldwide to develop a lifelong love for sport.

Her impact goes far beyond the race course. Athletes who have heard her speak often describe her as a powerful source of motivation. As one recalls, “I saw you speak at the MultiSport expo in Boston. Your speech was truly inspirational.” Another shared, “Your energy and passion are contagious and you inspired everyone.”

The Canadian Kona Breakfast returns this year to honour the Canadian women who have earned their place at the World Championships. Thanks to ASICS, the day begins on Tuesday, October 7 with a shake-out run, followed by the Canadian Celebration Breakfast at the Kona Canoe Club at 9:00am.

Athletes will enjoy a light continental breakfast, collect their custom ASICS Kona 2025 t-shirt for the Parade of Nations, and hear a pre-race pep talk from Lisa. Later that afternoon, Canadian qualifiers will march together in the Parade of Nations, proudly wearing their shirts as they represent Canada on the world stage.

The breakfast is a chance to connect, celebrate, and reflect on the confidence, resilience, and joy that sport provides.

Canadian qualifiers can confirm attendance by emailing info@AnUnlikelyChampion.com. Lisa’s book An Unlikely Champion is also available for pre-order at www.AnUnlikelyChampion.com for those looking to add some mental strength to their race-week preparation.
