Supertri Grand Final Winner Jeanne Lehair Surprised at Finish Line with Marriage Proposal

It was the kind of moment sport rarely delivers.

After three intense stages of swim, bike, and run, and months of fierce competition across the Supertri series, Jeanne Lehair of Podium Racing crossed the finish line in Toulouse as both champion and fiancée.

After sealing the race win in 50:44, just three seconds ahead of teammate Léonie Périault, Lehair was met at the finish line by her partner Nathan Lessmann. As the crowd erupted, Lessmann dropped to one knee. Lehair – stunned, tearful, and still catching her breath – said yes.

The fairytale moment capped a dominant season for the rising star. Her win in Toulouse marked her third Supertri victory of the season and secured her the overall individual title with 50 points, edging out Périault (46 pts) and Georgia Taylor-Brown (41 pts). Brownlee Racing’s Jolien Vermeylen and teen sensation Fanni Szalai rounded out the top five.

“I’m super happy,” Lehair said at the finish. “And then winning the general as well – because it’s been two years I’m second.”

Lehair’s consistent performances also helped Podium Racing top the final team standings with 355 points, ahead of Crown Racing (301 pts) and Brownlee Racing (278 pts).
