It’s time to race again!

Just six days separate the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Nice from the third men’s T100 race of the season. The Ekoï French Riviera T100 returns to the Côte d’Azur on September 19th, with the men’s professional race taking to the streets of Saint-Raphaël and Fréjus after starting from Base Nature Plage in Fréjus.

A reminder that, with the new T100 format for 2026, which splits the men’s and women’s regular-season races, each gender has only four regular-season scoring opportunities. An athlete’s top three results count, along with their result at the World Championship Final in Qatar.

This makes the stakes of every race even higher, with another world-class field lining up in France.

The most notable names on the start list include Hayden Wilde, Jelle Geens, and Lasse Nygaard Priester, all top-five finishers at the 70.3 World Championships, along with Rico Bogen and Morgan Pearson, who have both won over the T100 distance.

Recently crowned 70.3 World Champion Wilde currently leads the T100 standings after opening his season with a dominant win in Singapore, earning 35 points. The Kiwi then added another 26 points with a third-place finish in San Francisco while racing through illness. His 61 points put him at the top of the standings, 25 points ahead of second-place Jake Birtwhistle.

Bogen currently sits third with only one T100 race to his name this season: his win in San Francisco. The German was disappointed with his performance in Nice, describing it afterward as “Not a good day to have a bad day.” He now has a chance to put that performance behind him and remember everything that came before Nice: four races and four podiums, including his T100 win.

Priester is tied for fourth in the T100 standings following his second-place finish in San Francisco. He finished fifth at the 70.3 World Championships and heads into this weekend’s T100 with five podiums from six races this season, including recent victories at Ironman 70.3 Sweden and Ironman 70.3 Zell am See-Kaprun.

Geens placed third in Nice, and this will mark his first T100 appearance of 2026. Last year on the French Riviera, he finished just 22 seconds behind Wilde, setting up an exciting rematch this weekend. Despite having yet to race a T100 this season, Geens has podiumed in six of his eight T100 starts since making his debut in 2024 and is always one to watch.

As for Pearson, the American won in Dubai last season and also has good memories from his last visit to Fréjus. He finished sixth here last year while producing the fastest combined swim and run performance of the day.

Broadcast coverage for the Ekoï French Riviera T100 begins at 8am CEST on September 19th, with the race scheduled to start at 8:05am CEST. Fans can watch the race live and free on TriathlonLive or via the T100 YouTube channel.

The French Riviera is the sixth stop on the 2026 T100 Triathlon World Tour, with the series continuing in Dubai on November 14th for the final regular-season women’s race, Saudi Arabia on November 27th for the final regular-season men’s race, and Qatar for the World Championship Final on December 11th.
