World Triathlon and T100 have announced that the Saudi Arabia T100 and World Triathlon Cup in Jeddah, previously scheduled for November 27-28, 2026, will now take place on April 16-17, 2027.
In their statement, the organizers said they reviewed what was needed to host the first event in Saudi Arabi and decided to allow more preparation time. In the announcement, organizers did not specify the issues behind the postponement.
World Triathlon and T100 have confirmed that registration is now open for the April 2027 dates, with race details and entry categories available on the T100 site.
The event aims to grow triathlon in Saudi Arabia by encouraging participation and giving Saudi athletes more opportunities to compete and try the sport of triathlon. It will also give local organizers experience delivering an international triathlon event.
Organizers acknowledged the disruption impacting athletes’ plans and thanked participants and partners for their understanding. Further details will be shared as preparations continue for the inaugural race in April.
Of note, this race was originally scheduled to host the final regular-season pro men’s race; it seems they are planning to host the final pro men’s race alongside the women in Dubai instead.
