New Wild Trout Initiatives of Connecticut – A Conversation with Brian Eltz

New Wild Trout Initiatives of Connecticut - A Conversation with Brian Eltz

As a follow-up to our most recent TU Tools for Wild Trout video, TU’s Jon Vander Werff and Jesse Vadala sit down with Connecticut Fisheries Manager Brian Eltz. Brian works in the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection with a primary focus on wild trout conservation and monitoring. The conversation takes a deep dive on wild trout and begins with a look at our collaborative statewide spawning survey efforts with TU volunteers across watersheds of all sizes. Additional slides & topics cover unique strategies and programs specifically designed for managing wild & native trout populations in a rapidly changing landscape.
