Triathlon couple Vincent Luis and Georgia Taylor-Brown delivered one of the most compelling storylines of the season in Bahrain. Both were champions here in 2024. Both returned. And both won again.
Georgia Taylor-Brown produced a breakthrough performance that may stand as the fastest half Ironman time ever recorded, finishing in 3:51:19. Natalie Van Coevorden and India Lee joined her on the podium. With the win, Taylor-Brown also claimed the single qualifying spot for the 2026 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Nice.
Vincent Luis delivered his own show of form with a winning time of 3:29:08, improving on his 2024 result by more than three minutes and also securing a slot for Nice. Vasco Vilaca and Pieter Heemeryck completed the podium. The victory is Luis’ first of the season and continues his strong history on this course, following wins in 2022 and 2024.
Both athletes now head to the T100 Championship in Qatar with confidence high and winning momentum on their side.
