Here is a quick, durable and highly effective fly that I always have in my Chironomid box. This fly crushes all year but is very effective at ice-off and well into spring. The faded thread blend on this fly gives this a great look and can be used in a wide range of different colors. This is one of my confidence patterns so tie a few up and I am sure you will always have a few of these in your box when hitting your favorite stillwater.
