Julie Derron – Shall We Call It a Grand Slam?
Julie Derron is chasing another win in Tallinn, while Rico and Bianca Bogen are headed to race together in their hometown of Leipzig.

Julie Derron has been a model of consistency throughout this year, beginning with a win at Challenge Taiwan Half in April, followed by a runner-up finish at the Spain T100, a win at Ironman Switzerland, and, this past weekend, a win at the Vancouver T100. She now sits second in the PTO World Rankings and first in the T100 standings.
On the heels of her Vancouver glory, Derron is heading straight to Ironman 70.3 Tallinn, Estonia, where she’ll race for back-to-back victories. And if she achieves it, she’ll become the first athlete to win a Challenge race, an Ironman, an Ironman 70.3 and a T100 race in a single year.
There’s got to be a name for that. The triathlon Grand Slam?
Fans will be watching closely as she looks to add yet another victory to her stellar season this weekend.
And as for another fun storyline this weekend, sibling duo Rico and Bianca Bogen are both headed to race Ironman 70.3 Leipzig. This marks the first time the siblings have raced together since the 2025 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Marbella last November.
For Bianca Bogen, like Derron, there hasn’t been much rest, with both having just competed at the Vancouver T100, where Bogen finished sixth. But it’s a fitting next race for the Bogens, taking place in their hometown of Leipzig, and we’re excited to watch the inaugural edition.
Here’s to another great weekend of racing!
