My Favorite Tested Vacuums Are on Sale for Prime Day

I’ve put these machines through everyday messes, dirty carpets, and sticky spills. Now you can save on the ones that impressed me.

A good vacuum will seriously improve your life and home. So don’t skip past Amazon’s Prime Day vacuum deals; instead, let me show you the best ones.

As WIRED’s resident vacuum expert and tester, I’ve tried dozens of vacuums this year, from cordless sticks and Dysons to robot vacuums (at one point this summer, there were at least 13 different vacuums in my home for testing!). I have persuaded everyone in my life to upgrade and can report no regrets from anyone who’s followed my advice. One of my friends calls her robot vacuum her marriage-saver, while another friend of mine loves hers so much she bought one for each floor of her home. Upgrading your stick vacuum can also make a huge difference—I had a friend test the new Dyson V8 Cyclone against her old V8, and she could immediately tell a difference.

This could be you! Especially if you choose from one of the vacuums I’ve personally vetted. Note that these deals for Prime Day—or, as Amazon’s fall event is now named, Prime Big Deal Days—only include vacuums we’ve tested and recommend even when they aren’t on sale.

While you’re here, don’t miss our story on the Absolute Best Prime Day Deals that we’re keeping live today and tomorrow.

Best Robot Vacuum Prime Day Deals

Looking for a vacuum that will do the cleaning for you? Some of the best robot vacuums we’ve tested across hard floors and carpet—and ones that even scrubbed cherry juice off my floors—are currently on sale.

The best robot vacuum I’ve tested is well-priced for its range of features (mopping! vacuuming! spotting stains!) and will actually find stains all over your house. Most vacuums I test that have this ability don’t notice much, but the Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal even found an old orange juice stain that had blended into my wood floors. The only downside is that the Shark can’t learn multiple floors of your home if you live in a two-story.

Roborock

Qrevo 2 Pro

This is one of Roborock’s newest and most affordable robot vacuums, and it’s quickly become a favorite in my house. The Qrevo 2 Pro did well on my corner tests with its extendable mop arm, and can learn multiple levels of your home. It’s best when it’s on sale, and this is one of the best prices I’ve seen for it.

Eufy

Omni C28

This is my favorite budget robot vacuum because it’s consistently on sale for around $500. It’s lower than usual right now for Prime Day, making it a great time to buy. The Eufy Omni C28 vacuum does well at vacuuming and mopping around the house, and can learn multiple floors.

Dreaming of a vacuum that can do a little more? How about a robot vacuum that can pick up small objects? The Roborock Saros Z70 has an OmniGrip arm that can pick up your socks or cat toys. Former reviewer Adrienne So said the OmniGrip didn’t quite work, but if you wanted to give it a try for yourself, this is the price to snag it for.

Best Upright and Stick Vacuum Prime Day Deals

If you’re on the hunt for a deeper clean that you’ll do yourself, there are some solid options on sale—from Dyson’s sticks to a full-on carpet cleaner. Here’s what we’ve spotted so far.

Dyson

V10 Konical

Out of Dyson’s newest line of vacuums, I was most surprised by the Dyson V10 Konical. This is one of Dyson’s more affordable stick vacuums, but it did well on my comparison tests against the rest of the Dyson lineup. You won’t get a second head for hard floors like more expensive Dyson vacuums, but you will get the new All Floor Cones head and 150 air watts of power.

Dyson

V15 Detect

If you’re hoping for a Dyson that has two cleaner heads, the V15 Detect is on sale and comes with both the Digital Motorbar head for carpets and rugs, and the Fluffy Optic head for hard floors. I love the Fluffy Optic head for its laser to spot dirt and debris, too.

Bissell

ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro

This upright carpet-cleaner vacuum has two removable tanks to store clean and dirty water. You’ll be able to clean up spills on the carpet from kids and pets alike, and it’s the lowest price we’ve seen it go for all year.

Best Car Vacuum Prime Day Deals

As a parent, my car is often in need of a good vacuuming session. (How does my son get so much sand in my car without going near a beach? I may never know.) Out of the car vacuums I’ve tested, some of the best ones are currently on sale.

Worx

20V Cordless Cube Vac

The Worx Cordless Cube Vac is my favorite handheld car vacuum I’ve tried. It’s easy to carry and has spots on its body to store its two attachments, and has a good sized hose to reach across your trunk or into the crevice of your seats.

Dustbuster Flex

If you’re looking for a really long hose to vacuum your car, the Dustbuster Flex has a 4-foot hose that wraps around itself for storage. I also really like the charging and storage station it comes with, that has spots for its attachments.
