‘Connected Conservation’ takes us on site with field & fisheries staff from New York State DEC and Trout Unlimited as we gain a better understanding of the many cold flowing tributaries, slow meandering streams, deep beaver-dammed trenches, and densely wooded landscape of the Adirondack Forest Preserve.
In studying the complex & unique landscape of the South Moose, brook trout tell us quite a lot about our ever-changing world and the challenges facing New York’s state fish. With the help of our partners, adventure-seeking individuals, anglers, and wildlife lovers, we are proud to be making great strides towards reconnecting key tributaries and habitat for future generations of brook trout in the South Moose River Plains.
