She Carried her Brother 100km

Just a few days after turning 18, Tia Watson took on the Dubai T100 together with her older brother, Rio.

Rio was born with a rare chromosome condition – 1Q44 deletion denovo – but discovered his love for inclusive racing nearly a decade ago alongside his dad, Nick. The family then set up Team Angel Wolf; a non-profit foundation with the goal of creating a community where everyone is included.

Following in her dad’s footsteps, Tia’s incredible triathlon journey is transforming the perceptions of what’s possible. We documented her biggest challenge yet at the Dubai T100 – a 2km swim, an 80km bike and an 18km run supporting Rio, all the way to the line.
