The T100 season started with a bang in Singapore last month.
Kate Waugh burst onto the scene with the biggest margin of victory in the 5 year history of PTO 100k distance races. Now she’s looking to take down the reigning T100 World Champion Taylor Knibb, an old rival from junior and elite short course racing. If she can pull it off in San Francisco it will be the first time Knibb will have lost a T100 race.
Meanwhile, Jelle Geens arrived in Singapore as one of the favourites, not only for the race but for the series, after impressive victories at the Lake Las Vegas T100 and 70.3 World Championships during the latter stages of the 2024 season.
However, things did not go to plan for the Belgian who made the difficult decision to pull out of the race suffering a stomach issue on the run. Now determined to put things right and show that he is a T100 title contender, San Francisco will provide the perfect opportunity for a quick bounce back.
