Sometimes you wild out at the vise and just throw stuff together to see if it sticks. Techniques and flies are the results of such sessions because it’s very common to try things that you normally wouldn’t. If you don’t already, I’d challenge everyone to just sit down and throw stuff on a hook! On this fly, I was sure that the tail wouldn’t stay together, but it’s actually really durable so I worked it into a totally fishable fly. Use this fly as a catalyst for some creative flies built out of latex!
