One of Canada’s most decorated elite triathletes has just completed an incredible five-race block in the span of three weeks: WTCS Hamburg, the World Triathlon Mixed Relay Championships Hamburg, the World Triathlon Cup Edmonton, the World Triathlon Cup Relay, and Supertri Toronto. And he capped it off by taking the tape at the prestigious Supertri Toronto.

The weekend before, in Edmonton, delivered one of the most dramatic finishes in the history of the sport, with four men sprinting to the line, including Mislawchuk. He claimed the silver medal by just 0.01 seconds.

As the three-time Olympian said in a post-race interview, “We put on a good show. That’s about as good as it gets. There are so many guys so close in triathlon right now. I would have loved to have won at home, but that’s sport – seconds here and there. But anytime you are on a podium, it’s pretty darn good.”

The following day, Mislawchuk teamed up with fellow Canadians Sidney Clement, Isla Britton, and Martin Sobey to also earn silver in the World Triathlon Cup Relay.

And his momentum only grew this past weekend at Supertri Toronto. The top ten athletes were separated by just seconds heading into T2, setting up the run as the decisive discipline in this draft-legal sprint-distance event. Mislawchuk unleashed an incredible 13:12 5km (2:38/km) run to claim victory by 21 seconds in front of a home crowd, crossing the line in 51:27.

Supertri Toronto marked the third and final regular season round of the Supertri Pro Series and the last opportunity for athletes to secure a spot on the start line at the $800,000 Supertri Final in Jersey, currently the largest single-day prize purse in the sport.
