Tyler Mislawchuk and Zuzana Michaličková claim Toronto wins as Supertri Pro Series heads to New Jersey final
The final Supertri Pro Series race in Toronto saw Tyler Mislawchuk and Zuzana Michaličková take impressive victories before the final in New Jersey.

Canada’s Tyler Mislawchuk and Slovakia’s Zuzana Michaličková claimed commanding victories at the final Supertri Pro Series race of the season in Toronto, securing valuable momentum ahead of September’s final in New Jersey.
The sprint-distance, draft-legal event (750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run) marked the third and final stop of the inaugural Supertri Pro Series, following races in Austin, Texas, and Blenheim Palace in the UK. Therefore, this was the last opportunity to secure a qualification spot.
What happened in the men’s race?
Racing in front of a home crowd, Mislawchuk delivered a memorable performance to take the men’s sprint-distance glory in 51:27. The Canadian, one of his country’s most experienced and decorated triathletes, delighted the local fans by pulling clear on the run to finish 21 seconds ahead of Great Britain’s Solomon Okrafo-Smart (51:48). Meanwhile, France’s Nathan Grayel completed the podium in 52:05.

The race remained finely balanced through the swim and bike, with a large lead group reaching T2 separated by only a handful of seconds. Mislawchuk then made his move on the 5km run, producing the fastest run split of the day – an incredible 13:12 – to break away and seal victory.
All the action from the women’s race
The women’s race followed a similar script, with the podium ultimately decided on the run after several athletes remained together through the opening two disciplines.
Michaličková came into T2 from the bike alongside Canada’s Kira Gupta-Baltazar and American Mackenzie McConagha before demonstrating her running strength over the final 5km. Producing the quickest run split of the women’s race in 15:52, she steadily pulled away to claim victory in 59:34, making her the only athlete in the women’s race to finish inside the hour.
Annie Fuller (USA) finished second in 1:00:40, while Canada’s Gupta-Baltazar completed the podium in 1:01:02, giving the home fans another athlete to cheer for.

The victory capped an impressive and consistent Supertri Pro Series campaign for Michaličková, who had already finished third in Austin and seventh at Blenheim Palace before stepping onto the top of the podium in Toronto.
Who qualified for the finals?
With Mislawchuk and Michaličková qualified for the Supertri Pro Championship Final in previous races, their victories meant qualification places passed down to the next finishers. Okrafo-Smart, Grayel and France’s Nathan Lessmann secured the remaining men’s places, while Fuller, Gupta-Baltazar and McConagha booked their spots in the women’s field.
Attention now turns to New Jersey, where the Supertri Pro Championship Final will take place on 6 September. Qualifiers from Austin, Blenheim Palace and Toronto will compete for a share of the $800,000 prize purse ($400,000 per gender), making it the richest single-day prize fund in triathlon this year.
After impressive victories in Toronto, both Mislawchuk and Michaličková will arrive at the season finale full of confidence as they bid to end the inaugural Supertri Pro Series on another high.
